2008 - 2009 Forms and Reminders

Documents

Alcoa City Schools in cooperation with Maryville City Schools is pleased to announce that the Foothills Film Festival will be accepting initial entry documents until Sept. 19. Information about the festival and the necessary documents can be found at www.alcoaschools.net.
Team Splice from Greeneville High School won Best of the Fest in last year's festival and won full scholarships to Pellissippi State Technical and Community College for each student on the team.
Please share this information with teachers in your district. Schools on block schedules will need to make sure spring semester students are informed and submit documents by the Sept. 19 deadline.
The Sept. 2008 ENA newsletter contains a great deal of information about the festival and why your students should take advantage of this opportunity. You can find the article at
http://www.ena.com/Newsletters_Publications/Newsletter.aspx.

Reminders:

  • Documents to be filled out are Word documents and can be edited on the computer. When possible, please use the computer to fill in documents.
  • Check deadlines carefully.
  • Make sure all necessary forms are submitted at the same time.
  • Please check this page on a regular basis for updates or changes.

Important Deadlines:

September 19, 2008 - Initial Entry forms due

Teachers: By September 19, any team that wishes to enter the festival must have the Initial Entry form, the Workshop Sign Up sheet and the Parent/Student form to be eligible to compete in this year's festival. Schools that are on block should make every attempt to contact second semester students so that they can form teams and fill out the necessary paper work.

March 5, 2009

Entries are due. Each entry is required to be in a specified format and be accompanied by a storyboard, a script, a Copyright Acknowledgement form and Talent Release forms. Failure to have all required components will disqualify an entry.
