8th Grade Announcements

After School Tutoring
After school tutoring for students began on Monday, August 4. It will be available Monday through Thursday until 4:00. Students must have homework or skills that need improving to attend. Mrs. Martin will be working with seventh and eighth graders, Mrs. Brown with sixth graders, and Mr. Wolfe with the fifth graders. Tutoring has been successful for students who need help with homework or for those who need extra help with specific skills. Students need to take advantage of this service provided by the school.

8th Grade News

The AR deadline is rapidly approaching. September 17th is the cut-off date for this nine weeks.
Signed Progress Reports are due to your child’s advisory teacher.
Don’t forget that by selling three coupon books, students will earn a free trip to Dollywood. If they sell two books, they will only pay $10. For one book sold they will pay $20, and without any coupon books, the trip will cost $30. Money needs to be remitted to the advisory teacher.
Please review the Life Skill policy with your students. Once they have received their fourth Life Skill, they will not be allowed to attend the end of the nine weeks’ trips.

Congratulations Nicole!
We are proud to announce that Nicole Jones made UDA All Star and will be performing in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park, November 20-23 in the Junior High All Star Thanksgiving Tour. To qualify for UDA All Stars, Nicole had to perform a dance routine with excellence and also perform her own choreographed routine. We are so very proud of her!
