AMS Dance Team Tryouts:

AMS Dance team tryouts will be April 7 - 10. You Must have a current physical to try out. Sign up sheet can be found on Mrs. Maples' door.

6th Grade

Sixth Grade News

The sixth grade is planning on taking a field trip to West Town mall to watch the movie Fred Claus. This trip is planned for the students who made A and A/B honor roll. The students will be eating lunch at the food court on this day so they will need to bring extra money for lunch.
We are going to have a spelling bee on Friday, November 2, to determine the contestants from the 6th grade who will be participating in the school spelling bee. You can access a study guide online at http://www.myspellit.com. The spelling bee will be held in the library on December 4, at 9:00 for spellers from the 5th and 6th grades.
In science we are learning about vascular and nonvascular plants. We are finding out how we are interdependent on each other. We should finish the next two chapters about vertebrates and invertebrates before Christmas break.
The 6th grade students have elected the class officers and student council representatives. The officers are President- Sam Tingle, Vice President- Kayla Newman, Secretary- Allison Ramsey, and Treasurer- Kelsey Lowe.__
Student Council representatives are Taylor Wilson, Anna Pyle, Kayla Perez, Chris Williams, and Inrique Harvey.
