Science Club

SPONSOR: Shawn Kerr
Available to: 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th graders

Season: Year Round

This year Mr. Kerr has started a science club. We meet every Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:15. In our club we have elected officers. President: Grant Daugherty; Vice President: Sara Hnilica; Secretary: Sydney King; Publicists: Callie West and Callie McKenzie. Other members include: Vicky Boring, Mikayla Clark, Reagan Crosby, Marwan Eid, Rami Eid, Kaitlin Farmer, Gabe Ford, Adarius Hardin, Logan Kuchinic, Jessica Owensby, Ethan Waller, Choe Wolfe. Due to limited space there are only seventeen members.

We have currently been working on a school wide recycling project. We have put recycling bins in every hallway under the water fountains. Things that can be recycled are the following: newspaper, bottles cans, and plastics, but only # 1 and 2 kind. Things that cannot be recycled include the following: old homework, tissues, copy paper, notebook paper, magazines, and cardboard of any kind.
